Bats, Baby!

This Batman piece was done in 1996 when I was sixteen. It was a prolific era predating the beginning of my working career. For those who don't know, from mid 1998 to probably 1995 I didn't draw a lot. I got extremely rusty and have only recently gotten back into the swing of things.

Cheers.

More Americana!

This is a humorous piece featuring Kevin Ryan's Americana. This is the last of four recent commissions I did for Kevin. You can check his site out to read stories featuring Americana and other characters at www.kcryan.com.

Invincible

I've loved Robert Kirkman's Invincible since I first read it. It truly is one of the greatest superhero comic books to come out in years. You can read the first issue free at www.imagecomics.com. (No, I'm not getting a commission for refering it)

Mermaid

This is a quick posting of a piece I did over the weekend, but there's been a lot going on so I didn't get around to posting it until now. Enjoy.

Underworld

I saw the kick-ass opening scene from Underworld: Evolution and got the idea for this sketch. It's a more sinewy werewolf than I'm used to drawing, less fur involved.

The Reverie

This drawing was a cover I submitted for my high school's literary magazine senior year (1998). It was turned down because (and I'm paraphrasing my English teacher, who was the coordinator of the magazine) "it's too busy."

I'll leave that to you, the reader, to decide.

Inks!

I felt like inking tonight, so I pulled a drawing out of my folder and started working on it. I haven't inked in a while because I quickly became disillusioned with the pen. This piece, however, was done with a cheap brush I cut down to a fine set of bristles. It was a breeze! I had more more fun inking the piece that I did drawing it!
The second piece is a nameless wolf girl I did for practice.

Freeze!

This is another Kevin Ryan commission, featuring his character the Hornet (copyright(c)2007 Kevin Ryan). Kevin's website, by the way, is www.kcryan.com.

Gryphon Pencils

About a week and a half ago I posted a rough sketch of a gryphon sketch I would be working on. Here's the (almost) finished pencils of the main gryphon (1 of 3) of the piece. As you can see I had to do a lot of tweaking in the design.

Jeannette

For those of you not familiar with Jeannette from Forever Knight, she is one of the sexiest female vampires ever personified. She was portrayed by Deborah Duchene. I had a little photo reference, but I took a lot of liberties.

Tigra!

One of the first commission requests I received when I started auctioning off fully inked 11 x 14" drawings. The client requested "Tigra hulking out." He loved how it came out. That's what it's all about.

Sketch Cards!

I'm a huge fan of the nineties vampire crime drama "Forever Knight." I did these sketch cards to sell on Ebay. I think that, even though the likeness isn't totally there, some might find them interesting pieces to add to their collection.

Commissions!

This image of "3 chicks" is nearly done except for a few minor details to the White Queen. I've had a great time working on it ("working" is not the right word. To me this is not work).

Peter Gryphon

This is a rough conceptual design for a commission I'm about to start in which the client wants a scene where there's a field of fallen gryphon warriors and one last gryphon standing like the last scene in the movie "300".
